The waitlist made the case. Women kept raising their hands from every corner of the country, ready to step up in their communities but without a structure that fit their lives right now. We could not make them wait until fall.

So we built something faster. The Local Leader Lab Summer cohort is six weeks, Wednesdays, 7:00 to 8:30 pm ET, July 1 through August 5.
No prior experience. No finished plan. Just the belief that something needs to change where you live, and the willingness to figure out your role in that.

One year later. Very little change. Women hold 32.7% of local offices nationwide, up from 32.4% in 2025. But the number that really tells the story: the gap between the best and worst states is nearly 30 points. Where you live still shapes whether women lead.

Cohort 2 of the Local Leader Lab just launched.

Over 100 women from 30+ states. Ten weeks. One goal: build real civic power where they live.

This cohort has something Cohort 1 didn't. A facilitator team. Fourteen women with decades of experience who said yes because they believe this kind of structure matters right now.

Our 2025 Impact Report just dropped. The numbers don't lie.

This year, we proved something important: When you meet women where they are and move at the speed they need, they show up.

• 58,000+ women explored their political power through our free resources
• We beta-tested She Will Fight during a chaotic moment. 18,500 women joined in weeks to take simple local actions and rebuild their civic confidence
• 40+ women in our first Local Leader Lab took real civic action
• 100% would do it again

We listened to what women needed. We adapted fast. We kept our focus on what mattered most: clarity and community.

Here's the part nobody wants to say out loud: We are ready to open applications for the next Local Leader Lab cohort before the year ends, but we need to close a $142K gap to do it. 2026 is a high-stakes election year. Women are ready to lead. The question is whether we'll have the resources to do the work.
