Congress must fund health, education, and housing – and stand against abuse of power.

RESULTS urges Republicans and Democrats in Congress to quickly pass other FY26 appropriations bills, and to draft a separate, bipartisan DHS funding bill that mandates meaningful accountability for ICE and CBP. Please call (202) 224-3121 today to urge your senators to act.

One of our long-time members of our group, Dolores Badar, passed away this fall. She and her husband Larry were dedicated advocates who combined their personal experiences (Dolores was a trained dietician) and their deep faith to their work. They are both dearly missed as loving friends as well as passionate voices for the end of hunger and injustice. In Dolores' honor, we are fundraising this fall so that her work may continue. Thanks in advance for your support!

As a RESULTS advocate, I'm raising my voice and raising money to end poverty. Join me!

Let your senators know that we will not get over this. Call Senators Husted (202-224-3353) and Moreno (202-224-2315) and insist they vote NO on the "Big, Beautiful" budget reconciliation bill. Moreno promised no cuts to Medicaid, but thousands of Ohioans will be pushed off Medicaid, affecting not only those individuals but the hospitals and clinics that serve them. Husted wants to streamline the bureaucracy for Ohioans, but new work reporting requirements for SNAP will further burden low-income families, including veterans and people experiencing homelessness. This is a bad bill and must be defeated.

URGENT ACTION: The House plans to vote on the rescissions bill TODAY. Call your members of Congress and tell them to vote NO!

This requestwould cancel $8.3 billion in foreign aid. This money, which Congress and the President approved in March, supports life-saving health and poverty programs that help millions of people around the world. Undoing this funding now would turn an already catastrophic health crisis—started when the Administration abruptly halted aid earlier this year—into an unimaginable one.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee has released a proposed language for the "big, beautiful" reconciliation bill that could results in 7.7 million people will health coverage with Medicaid over the next decade. Rep. Bob Latta: (202-225-6405) sits on this committee, the deciding body for Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. Our representatives work for us, and citizen advocacy to protect Medicaid has already slowed their progress on this cruel bill. We got a letter to the editor published last week; follow up with Latta's office today asking him how he plans to protect our community's well-being.

Today is an action day to protect the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) from potential cuts planned during the budget reconciliation process. SNAP provides essential support for low-income households, particularly seniors, families with children, veterans, and people with disabilities. While it is a multi-billion dollar program, each SNAP recipient in Ohio is receiving, on average, just $6.27/day. We can speak up for the nearly 1.5 million Ohioans who rely on SNAP to put food on the table. Contact your federal representatives today. Here's a link to a template to personalize and send. Thank you!

For over 63 years, the U.S. Agency for International Development has been an independent humanitarian agency, representing the best in America’s engagement with the world. Overnight, the administration has illegally shutdown a Congressionally created and funded agency. Millions of people around the world have lost access to life-saving drugs and treatments supported by the U.S. This damages our safety and our reputation. We must urge Congress to stand against this catastrophe.
