La Maison Française in partnership with RSF and AFP is hosting a screening of Inside Gaza by Hélène Lam Trong. This compelling film follows the experiences of AFP’s permanent reporting team in Gaza.

The documentary will be followed by a discussion with Director Lam Trong and producer Yann Olivier (Head of Documentary at AFP DOCS), moderated by Clayton Weimers (Executive Director of RSF USA), as well as a Q&A session.

Regime change in Syria presents a fresh opportunity for the Biden administration to free journalist Austin Tice from captivity after 12 long years. A lack of direct engagement with former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whose government never acknowledged holding Tice, has reportedly been a sticking point. RSF urges President Biden to seize the moment to bring Tice home.

Evan Gershkovich (Wall Street Journal) and Alsu Kurmasheva (RFE/RL), have been freed in a prisoner exchange with Russia!

The international community must make clear to the Russian government that their outrageous practice of state hostage-taking will not be tolerated. In the meantime, RSF continues to advocate for the release of the more than 40 other journalists who remain detained in Russia in connection with their work.

RSF condemns Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to address the U.S. Congress today.

RSF denounces the invitation to a head of state responsible for the killings of more than 100 journalists in , and who continues to prevent access to international media to report on the war.

RSF urges President Biden and Congressional leaders to press Netanyahu on the steps he will take to end the slaughter of journalists and open media access to Gaza.
