As a kid, Team ENOUGH San Diego's Sarah Youseff attended the mosque that was recently the site of a horrific mass shooting. Now, as a gun violence prevention advocate, she shares her thoughts on what needs to change.

“Most of the time when teenagers have access to guns, it's from within their own household, and when they are not safely stored, tragic incidents like this happen. Hate exists all around the world, but our country allows it to become violent with such easy access to fi****ms.”

The mass shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego is hitting too close to home for a lot of people. Veronica Carter and Bret Burkhart spoke to someone who attended the mosque a child, teen advocate against gun violence and member of Team ENOUGH, Sarah Youssef. See

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. On this day, and every day, we honor the moms who have lost children to gun violence, the moms we have lost too soon, and the moms fighting to create a safer future for generations to come.

Team ENOUGH members are meeting with lawmakers in Boston today to advocate for common-sense solutions to gun violence.

Gun violence is the leading cause of death for young people in America. Elected officials need to hear directly from us. Taking action cannot wait!

27 years ago, 12 students and 1 teacher were shot and killed at Columbine High School. The tragedy marked the start of the lockdown generation, where active shooter drills became the norm, and school shootings have been all too common. We must do more to protect young people.

We're calling on the Maryland State Senate to protect victims of domestic abuse by passing the Family and Law Enforcement Protection Act — requiring the immediate surrender of fi****ms when a temporary protective order is issued.

Vice Mayor of Coral Springs, FL, Nancy Metayer Bowen, was shot and killed yesterday in an apparent domestic violence incident. Bowen was a beloved public servant and member of the community.

A woman is 5x more likely to be murdered when her abuser has access to a firearm.

Bowen's brother, Donovan, who survived the school shooting in Parkland, recently died by firearm su***de. No family should have to endure multiple incidents of gun violence & the trauma that follows.

We're thinking of the Vice Mayor's loved ones and all those grieving such an inspirational leader.

Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen of Coral Springs, Fla., was shot and killed in an alleged domestic violence incident, three months after her brother died by su***de.
