DC Rotary Club The Rotary Club of Washington, DC is a volunteer organization for professional men and women. Our club conducts a lunch each week with a keynote speaker.

The Rotary Club of Washington, DC was founded as the 46th club of Rotary International. Our speakers have included Supreme Court Justices, high-ranking military officials, former Cabinet Secretaries, ambassadors and more. All Rotary Clubs operate under the same four ideas called The Four-Way Test. Of the things we think, say or do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

What a fantastic luncheon this week at the Rotary Club of Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸⚓️

A heartfelt thank you to Colin Grabow of the Cato Institute for joining us and leading a fascinating discussion on the Jones Act, its impact on domestic shipping and energy transportation, and the recent experience under the federal waiver.

Colin shared his research and perspective on the economic costs associated with the law, as well as what recent shipping activity may tell us about U.S. energy movement when some Jones Act restrictions are temporarily lifted.

We’re grateful to Colin for sharing his expertise, and to all of our Rotarians and guests who joined us for another afternoon of thoughtful conversation, fellowship, and learning.

Thank you for being part of it! 💙💛

Yesterday, our Rotary Club of Washington, D.C. members had the opportunity to attend the Faith in Peace Interfaith Concert and “Light the Night” Digital Peace Torch Illumination, supporting our fellow Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Metro Bethesda in their mission to promote peace, understanding, and unity throughout our communities. 🕊️🌎

Hosted at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington, D.C., the evening brought together Rotarians, faith communities, peacebuilders, and organizations committed to creating connection across cultures and backgrounds.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to support neighboring Rotary clubs and to see Service Above Self extend beyond individual club boundaries. When Rotarians collaborate, our impact travels a little farther. 💙💛

Thank you to Rotary Metro Bethesda, Rotary District 7620, and everyone involved in making this meaningful evening possible!

Join us this Wednesday for another inspiring luncheon with the Rotary Club of Washington, D.C.! 🌎✨

This week, we’re honored to welcome Anthony Knopps, nine-time author, TEDx speaker, longtime educator, and seasoned communications and public policy professional, for a special presentation:

“The Hidden Value of Service”

Drawing from Volume II of The No-Fail Mission, Anthony will share stories from his conversations with 13 men and women who served the Office of the President, including Presidential Service Badge recipients whose experiences span administrations from Eisenhower and Kennedy to Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and beyond.

Their stories offer a fascinating window into American history, but more importantly, into something Rotarians understand deeply: service is often most powerful when it isn’t about recognition, status, or who gets the credit. It’s about the mission. 🇺🇸🤝

📍 The University Club of Washington, DC
1135 16th Street NW, 2nd Floor
Washington, DC 20036

⏰ Pre-register by 4:00 PM Tuesday to avoid the late registration fee.

Come enjoy great conversation, meaningful fellowship, and a unique perspective on the true value of service.

We look forward to welcoming our members, visiting Rotarians, and guests! 💙💛

What an incredible luncheon we had this past Wednesday! 🌟

A heartfelt thank-you to our distinguished speaker, Dr. Mona Calhoun, for sharing her knowledge and insights with us, and to all our visiting Rotarians and guests who joined us for an afternoon of learning, fellowship, and international connection.

We were also honored to celebrate a special flag exchange with the Rotary Club of Rabat, representing the friendship and global unity that connect Rotarians across borders. 🌍🤝

The luncheon concluded with a moving book reading by one of our very own Rotary members in remembrance of September 11 and the lives lost that day—a meaningful moment of reflection, honor, and unity.

Thank you to everyone who made this gathering so memorable. This was truly Rotary fellowship at its finest!
