A powerful collaboration of Delaware business and leaders. This viewpoint was co-authored by leaders from the Tech Council of Delaware, Delaware IP Alliance, Delaware State Chamber, Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce, and NCC Chamber of Commerce, bringing together diverse perspectives on the future of innovation and economic growth in our state.

"We are fortunate to have U.S. Senator Chris Coons’s experience and steady leadership anchoring Delaware’s voice on these issues. His ‘A+’ rating on Council for Innovation Promotion’s scorecard did not happen overnight; it reflects years of bipartisan, practical work to ensure that creators and companies can confidently bring new ideas to market. He understands that strong patents and reliable IP protections are what allow businesses to take the risks required to research, develop, and commercialize new technologies.

The need for robust protections spans every corner of Delaware’s economy—from life sciences and advanced manufacturing to technology, agriculture, and the creative industries. Inventors, entrepreneurs, and workers alike depend on a system that rewards originality and guards against misuse or theft."
