Hi One Brick DC Volunteers and Supporters:

On behalf of our Board, we hope everyone is safe and healthy.
This message is about the future of One Brick’s Washington DC chapter. We thank you for your participation and support of One Brick over the years. Unfortunately, we currently do not have a sufficient local management team currently in place and we have had to close down the chapter.

We hope this is only temporary as the good news is that several individuals have stepped forward expressing their interest in helping to relaunch the chapter, but we need your help in developing a team to work towards relaunching the chapter. In order to successfully run a chapter a number of key roles is required in addition to a healthy base of Event Managers to run the volunteer events, these roles include:

Chapter Director
Associate Director
Events Logistics Director
Social Events Director
Newsletter Editor
Social Media Director
Volunteer Event Managers
Social Event Managers

ALL of these roles are currently needed in DC to relaunch the chapter and we would like to ask your help towards relaunching the chapter. It will be essential to fill the majority of these positions in order to reopen the chapter. Please fill out our questionnaire here:

The One Brick Board would like to thank the AMAZING job done by those in DC over the years, including Ashleigh, Ledy E, Melanie, and many others in keeping the chapter going over the years, and thanks to all of YOU our volunteers and supporters throughout the years.

We are looking for input on relaunching our DC chapter and are looking for people interested in playing a role in rebooting the chapter. We like to hear from you! Have you ever considered getting more involved with One Brick DC? Now's your chance!

With the growing public health concern about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that our main concern is for the health and safety of our volunteers. We are monitoring the situation closely and taking the lead from our nonprofit partners. Many of those non-profit organisations are providing critical support and resources to those with the most need, and will need to continue their operations regardless. We receive regular reports on how the NPO's are following Public Health and CDC Guidelines and respecting the local ban on mass gatherings. As such several partners have unfortunately had to cancel their events in March. Should the events be rescheduled we will try to ensure our volunteer support at a later date.

Your Event Manager will keep you updated should an event you signed up for be cancelled. Our Events team are keeping the calendar updated as we receive new information.

The Little Theatre of Alexandria is the oldest award-winning theatre in the Washington metro area and one of only a few community theatres in the country with its own building and an ambitious 7-show season. Proud of their rich heritage, LTA is excited about its future. They have a little theatre, but their expectations are gigantic.

The LTA needs our help painting their set for the production of A Fox on the Fairway. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Volunteers should wear old clothes they don't mind getting dirty.

If you are interested in volunteering, stop by this Saturday, November 23rd between 10:00am-1:00pm to help out.
