Every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

LGBTQ+ young people are overrepresented in the foster care and juvenile justice systems, making strong advocacy and affirming support more important than ever.

We're proud to stand with LGBTQ+ youth this month and every month as they navigate challenges, pursue their goals, and build bright futures 🫂.

✨ Our gala may be over, but the need for advocacy never ends 💙.

At CASA for Children of DC, our volunteer advocates stand beside youth navigating foster care and the juvenile justice system, ensuring their voices are heard when it matters most.

That’s why our Monthly Champions are so important. Your recurring support helps us recruit, train, and empower volunteers to advocate for children through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Because life-changing advocacy doesn’t happen in just one night.
It happens day after day, court date after court date, child after child.

When you become a CASA DC Monthly Champion, you’re helping provide the steady, reliable support that makes consistent advocacy possible — month after month 🫂.

You can become a Monthly Champion by contributing at 🔗 http://bit.ly/4aRW3bn

Want to make a difference but not able to become a Monthly Champion? Consider making a one-time gift via the 🔗 link in our bio, or joining us as a CASA volunteer!

Today is CASA/GAL Volunteer's Day, where we recognize and celebrate the incredible CASA volunteers who stand beside children in foster care and the juvenile justice system.

Every child deserves safety, stability, and someone who will show up for them consistently. CASA volunteers show up everyday, advocating for our youth's best interests and helping judges make informed decisions that can shape their future.

Today, we thank all of the CASA volunteers who make this work possible. Your compassion, dedication, and advocacy change lives every day, building brighter futures and stronger communities.

May is National Foster Care Month, a time to recognize the resilience of youth in foster care and honor the advocates, caregivers, and community members who support them every day 💙.

In DC, more than 500 youth are currently in the foster care system, navigating a path toward safety, stability, and permanency. During this critical time, having a consistent adult advocate can make a lasting difference. CASA volunteers stand beside youth in foster care to ensure their voices are heard, their needs are prioritized, and they have someone advocating for their best interests every step of the way 🫂.

You can be an advocate for DC youth this month and every day by becoming a CASA volunteer. Visit our website or click the Apply to be a CASA 🔗 link in our bio to make a difference today!
