Meet Nomi Ostrander, PhD, MSW, MPH, LICSW, CST (she/they)! They are the presenter for our October educational webinar.

Nomi is an associate professor and head of the Department of Social Work at the University of Minnesota Duluth. A social worker, therapist, and researcher, their work focuses on transgender health, sexuality, intimate relationships, and the social conditions shaping transgender lives. She directs the TRANSFORM Lab, where they collaborate with students, faculty, and community partners to advance transgender joy, relationship health, and social change.

The topic is Beyond Affirmation: Helping Trans and Q***r Clients Navigate Uncertainty, Connection, and Becoming.
