Disaster Preparedness Training in Sulu:

Residents in the Pacific Ring of Fire, must train to prepare for earthquakes, tidal waves, and typhoons.

AAI's-sponsored schools conduct regular drills where children gain the confidence and skills needed to respond in times of crisis. What may seem routine is, in reality, a powerful step to protect young lives and strengthen community resilience.

AAI extends its heartfelt thanks to local fire departments, hospitals, and school teams, including the student "mini-nurses" for leading these efforts. Their commitment ensures every child is prepared, safe, and supported.

Together, we not only educate students—we equip them with tools to stay safe and face the future with courage and confidence.

Tumantangis Graduation:
After more than two decades of closure due to conflict, Tumantangis School reopened its doors in 2025. This created a renewed sense of hope, resilience, and possibility for the surrounding community.
Today, classrooms are once again filled with eager learners and proud parents who are excited to see their children learn, and thrive. This reopening is more than just the return of education—it’s a powerful symbol of healing and new beginnings for the entire community.
At AAI, we are honored to support this journey by providing learning materials, school supplies, feeding programs, and graduation awards. These efforts inspire every child that their hard work matters and their achievements and dreams can build a better future.
Together, we are helping not just a school, but to fill a community with hope and opportunity.

Students took great care of the Bunot ES Garden and it is now beginning to bear vegetables.
AAI sponsors school gardens by providing seeds and supplies. Vegetables are used for school lunches. Plant good seeds and watch them grow!

During typhoons season, children are continuously drenched and exposed to bacteria which causes illness. AAI is providing raincoats and rubber boots to protect the children against exposure, keeping them dry and away from polluted water.

After the devastating typhoon, many schools and homes were severely damaged. AAI and friends are filling the gap with emergency support for volunteer workers.

AAI and Mukammali ES partnered to build a new hand washing facility with 6 faucets for the youngest students. AAI supplied a clean water tank for drinking and hygiene, and gave 20 bags of cement to build a circular wash basin. The school used their official budget to cover the expense of skilled craftsman and 100 sacks of sand. We wish them health and the strength to empower their learning abilities! 💖💖💖

Summer Reading Camp Dance at Salih Yusah Elementary Schools in Sulu, Philippines After one month... Finished product for 3rd grade pupils is the Addams Family theme song in English. Hurrah!!!
