Farm Service Centers (FSCs) are CNFA’s market-oriented, private sector solution to reach last-mile markets where quality inputs and services are often inaccessible.

These commercially operated one-stop shops retail seeds, fertilizers, crop protection products, machinery, and technologies directly to farming communities—creating new entry points for American inputs and products and empowering farmers to improve their incomes and livelihoods.

Over the last 20+ years, we’ve established more than 200 FSCs in seven countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe.

CNFA and AGCO Corporation recently brought together our 2026 AgriChampions in Duluth, Georgia, where young entrepreneurs pitched their ideas and received feedback from industry mentors.

The AGCO Foundation Youth AgriChampion Program invests in the next generation of U.S. agricultural leaders—supporting young farmers and innovators who are building businesses, improving farm productivity, and bringing new technologies to American agriculture. Each participant receives mentorship, leadership training, and seed funding to launch or scale projects with real impact on their farms, businesses, and communities.

Under the USDA-funded MOCA program, CNFA monetized 17,200 MT of U.S. crude degummed soybean oil worth $8.5 million and facilitated the first exports of quality Ivorian cocoa directly to U.S. chocolatiers—creating a new trade channel for American manufacturers seeking diversified, high-quality sourcing.

The program generated $26.8 million in annual sales for local cocoa farmers, improved production practices across 15,000+ hectares, established 15 new public private partnerships, and leveraged an additional $2.5 million in public and private investment.

: Throughout the early 2000s, CNFA supported enterprise-driven input and service delivery models—most notably through Farm Service Centers and agrodealer strengthening programs. These efforts brought high-quality inputs, mechanization, and advisory services closer to farmers in last-mile markets.

By strengthening retail and service networks, CNFA helped build relationships between American input suppliers and local distributors while connecting farmers with trusted agrodealers and service providers. These systems improved the consistency and quality of production, enabling farmers to better meet market demands and participate more effectively in domestic, regional, and international trade. Projects spanned Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia.

: From its early years, CNFA recognized the role businesses can play in strengthening agricultural markets. In 1990, we helped establish the Citizens Network Agribusiness Alliance—bringing together more than 200 U.S. food companies, agribusinesses, farmers, financial institutions, trade associations, and universities to connect global producers and enterprises to capital, expertise, and markets, while helping to reduce risk and strengthen value chains. With experience working in more than 50 countries, that early emphasis on enterprise-led collaboration continues to inform how we work today.

This year on , we celebrate “Pulses of the world: from modesty to excellence,” recognizing the essential role pulse crops play in nutrition, soil productivity, and agricultural livelihoods worldwide. At CNFA, we’ve supported pulse value chains such as soybeans, cowpeas, and high-iron bean varieties by strengthening field production practices, improving post-harvest handling and profitability—through value addition, improved quality standards, and strategic timing of sales when market demand is highest—and by connecting American farmers’ products to international markets. Together, these investments help ensure pulses move efficiently from field to market to table, supporting trade while delivering nutritious foods to consumers.

Advancing markets, trade, and private sector investment is central to ’s role in growth. CNFA works across these areas by convening farmers, agribusiness leaders, and policymakers to form partnerships that improve market access, inform policy decisions, and strengthen export pathways. These relationships—between producers and companies around the world—are key to strengthening production, expanding trade linkages, and supporting more competitive agricultural economies.
