Thirty years of impact. One extraordinary night.

On September 10, we gathered at The Hamilton Hotel to celebrate CSC's 30th Anniversary, honor incredible leaders, and invest in the future of Washington, DC.

The result? A community that showed up for one another.

Because of you, your generosity supports:
• Family support services
• Affordable housing
• Violence intervention
• Youth engagement
• Workforce development programs

We're still working toward our $500,000 goal and every gift keeps these programs strong. Thank you for being part of this legacy.

Watch the recap.

Thirty years. One community.

Our 30th anniversary celebrations continued on the field with the CSC Cosmic Wolves, whose commemorative games brought together youth, families, and neighbors for a day of sport, mentorship, and pride.

The Cosmic Wolves are where CSC's mission meets the next generation, young people channeling their energy into leadership, teamwork, and structure, while we work to reduce the conditions that fuel violence.

Thank you to everyone who laced up, showed up, and cheered. Here's to the next 30.

When the music hit, the room came alive.

The 30th Anniversary Gala wasn't just a milestone, it was a celebration of everything this community is: joyful, fearless, and unstoppable.

From our Master of Ceremonies, Al Reynolds, to performances by Raheem DeVaughn, Tiya Askia, Johnie Steel, and DJ Elektrk, the night was one to remember.

Because of everyone who celebrated with us, we're closer to our $500,000 goal of funding programs that give DC youth mentorship, leadership, and real opportunity.

Some moments from the 30th Anniversary Gala are going to stay with us. When our Executive Director Penelope Griffith took the stage, she reminded us why this work matters — and why we keep showing up.

"With our ears to the ground, we are two steps ahead of a child needing food and shelter. With our ears to the ground, we are two steps ahead of a child being abused. With our ears to the ground, we are two steps ahead of a shooting or a fight that could escalate into a homicide." — Penelope Griffith, Executive Director

Board President Charmaine Weatherly put it simply: "Our goal this evening is to raise $500,000 to bridge this gap and sustain the work that has created measurable, lasting change in the District."

Their commitment has been truly unwavering. We applaud them.
