Scanca, Inc. - Sickle Cell Association of the National Capital Area, Inc. Sickle Cell Advocates of DC is a sickle cell support group offered by the Sickle Cell Association of the National Capitol Area.

We provide information about services that families can use to help manage their life with sickle cell. We also bring individuals together to share their stories, to brainstorm and, to act in order to increase awareness of sickle cell disease (SCD) and it's effect on individuals and on the community.

What are you doing today? Hopefully you're joining us for the virtual WELLNESS TALK with expert physician Dr. David Bowman from Howard University College of Medicine! We'll discuss the importance of lifestyle choices, stress, relationships and other factors that impact our health, especially when living with a chronic condition like sickle cell disease. The event starts at 6:30 PM ET.

If you are able to attend the virtual session, you will then be invited to enjoy some time ROLLING WITH THE WARRIORS on June 25th at AMF Bowling Lanes in Hyattsville, MD, for free bowling, food and great times!
