We are locals in DC committed to fighting for a sustainable future. On October 18th-21st. 10,000 young people are converging at PowerShift in Pittsburgh to receive training, network with like-minded individuals, and join the movement for a clean energy economy that works for everyone! It's just the beginning. Fracking threatens the mid-Atlantic region, power plants are still spewing carbon into th

e atmosphere (including the Capitol Coal Plant), and members of Congress are still pushing to force approval of the Keystone XL pipeline. Here in DC, we have the unique opportunity to engage with a city and a federal government faced with their own social and environmental challenges and opportunities. On this page and beyond we will organize, share resources and stories, network, and build the local movement for a clean energy future!
