🎓🌍 Thank you, UMass faculty, for joining our EURAXESS North America webinar on European Union Funding Opportunities for US-Based Researchers!

On February 11, 2026, EURAXESS North America was pleased to partner with the UMass Lowell Office of Research Development to present an overview of Horizon Europe funding pathways available to US-based faculty

During the session, Jackson Howard and Dr. Derya Büyüktanır Karacan shared practical guidance on:

🔹 What EURAXESS offers to US-based researchers, including partnering tools and mobility resources

🔹 Horizon Europe’s structure, funding pillars, and how to browse open calls

🔹 European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grants — eligibility and participation options for US faculty

🔹 Horizon Europe Pillar 2 collaborative projects and how US institutions can join consortia

🔹 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), including hosting postdoctoral fellows in the US or supporting outgoing mobility

🔹 Strategies for identifying European collaborators and building competitive proposals

It was encouraging to see strong interest across disciplines — from science and engineering to the humanities — particularly among tenure-track faculty exploring international funding opportunities without relocation requirements.

If your institution would like to host a similar session, feel free to reach out.
