🤝🏽🧡 ¡Culminamos nuestra !

🫂 Como parte de nuestros últimos días en Morazán, tuvimos la oportunidad de reunirnos con tres organizaciones que son parte fundamental del trabajo que VOCES acompaña en el territorio: la Red Ciudadana de Mujeres de Morazán, el Equipo pastoral de ADESPACOM, y la Asociación Juvenil para el Desarrollo de Morazán (AJUDEM).

✨ Estos encuentros fueron también una oportunidad para agradecer a quienes, desde distintos espacios y con diferentes generaciones, continúan trabajando por el bienestar y la organización de sus comunidades. Nos alegra cerrar esta delegación con el cariño de nuestras organizaciones aliadas y con la certeza de que seguiremos encontrándonos, construyendo y caminando juntas y juntos en los proyectos que compartimos. 💜

🫂 As part of our final days in Morazán, we had the opportunity to meet with three organizations that are fundamental to the work VOICES supports in the region: the Morazán Women's Citizen Network, the Pastoral Team of ADESPACOM, and the Morazán Youth Association for Development (AJUDEM).

✨ These meetings were also an opportunity to thank those who, from different backgrounds and across generations, continue working for the well-being and organization of their communities. We're happy to conclude this delegation with the support of our partner organizations and with the certainty that we will continue to meet, build, and walk together on the projects we share. 💜

| 💜🌄 Iniciamos nuestra visita en Morazán acompañando la clausura del Programa Educativo en Salud Sexual y Reproductiva, un proceso que durante los últimos meses reunió a 20 niñas de distintas comunidades para fortalecer sus conocimientos sobre sus derechos, sus cuerpos y su bienestar.

💃 La comunidad nos recibió con mucho cariño y las participantes compartieron una hermosa presentación de danza para conmemorar este cierre. Gracias a cada una de las niñas por su entusiasmo y compromiso, a sus familias por acompañarlas en este camino, y a la Red Ciudadana de Mujeres de Morazán por hacer posible que este proceso continúe impactando de forma positiva en la vida de las niñas y jóvenes de deparamento.

| 💜🌄** We began our visit to Morazán by joining the closing celebration of our Sexual and Reproductive Health Education Program, a journey that brought together 20 girls from different communities over the past several months to strengthen their knowledge of their rights, their bodies, and their well-being.

💃 We were warmly welcomed by the community, and the participants shared a beautiful dance performance to celebrate the completion of this meaningful journey. Thank you to each of the girls for their enthusiasm and commitment, to their families for supporting them every step of the way, and to the Morazán Women's Citizen Network for making it possible for this program to continue having a positive impact on the lives of girls and young women across the department. 💜

| 💜🌾 Cerramos nuestra estancia en el Bajo Lempa acompañando la clausura del Programa Educativo en Salud Sexual y Reproductiva, un proceso en el que participaron 24 niñas y adolescentes de distintas comunidades. A lo largo de los últimos meses, ellas fortalecieron sus conocimientos sobre sus derechos, sus cuerpos y su bienestar, en un espacio pensado para aprender, dialogar y crecer con confianza y libertad.

✨ Durante la actividad disfrutamos de una alegre presentación de baile preparada por las participantes, quienes celebraron con entusiasmo la culminación de este importante proceso junto a sus familias y comunidades. Agradecemos profundamente a cada niña por su compromiso, a sus familias por acompañarlas en este camino, y a ACUDESBAL por ayudarnos a generar estos espacios que promueven el desarrollo integral de las nuevas generaciones. 💜

| 🥬🌱 Nuestra delegación visitó la comunidad Los Calix para compartir con las familias beneficiarias del proyecto de soberanía alimentaria que VOCES acompaña en el territorio. Durante el encuentro conocimos de cerca los avances de los huertos caseros y la manera en que cada familia ha comenzado a producir sus propios alimentos, fortaleciendo su seguridad alimentaria a través del trabajo colectivo y el cuidado de la tierra.

Gracias por recibirnos con tanto cariño y por permitirnos seguir acompañando este proceso que florece con el esfuerzo y compromiso de todas y todos. 🌿

| 🥬🌱 Our delegation visited Los Calix community to spend time with the families benefiting from the food sovereignty project that VOICES supports in the area. During the visit, we learned firsthand about the progress of the home gardens and how each family has begun to produce their own food, strengthening their food security through collective work and care for the land.

| 📚🍎 Nuestra delegación compartió una jornada de talleres dirigidos a las educadoras de los cinco Centros de Bienestar Infantil del Bajo Lempa, y docentes del Centro Escolar Amando López. A lo largo del día compartimos herramientas, experiencias y reflexiones orientadas a fortalecer el trabajo que realizan cada día en sus aulas.

👩🏽‍🏫✨Durante los talleres abordamos temas como el autocuidado de las educadoras, estrategias para acompañar el bienestar emocional de las y los estudiantes, el uso de la escritura como herramienta de aprendizaje en todas las asignaturas, la creación de materiales didácticos creativos, y la importancia de comprender la diversidad en el aula, incluyendo las neurodivergencias y la dislexia.

Gracias a todas las maestras y maestros por compartir sus experiencias, su entusiasmo y su compromiso con una educación cada vez más inclusiva, humana y transformadora. 💜

| 📚🍎 Our delegation led a day of workshops for educators from the five Child Welfare Centers in Bajo Lempa, as well as teachers from Amando López School. Throughout the day, we shared tools, experiences, and reflections aimed at strengthening the incredible work they do every day in their classrooms.

👩🏽‍🏫✨ We explored topics including educator self-care, strategies for supporting students' emotional well-being, using writing as a learning tool across all subjects, creating engaging educational materials, and the importance of understanding diversity in the classroom, including neurodiversity and dyslexia.

Thank you to all the teachers and educators for sharing your experiences, enthusiasm, and commitment to building a more inclusive, compassionate, and transformative education. 💜

| 🤝🌿 Ayer visitamos la comunidad Octavio Ortíz, donde compartimos un valioso espacio con sus líderes y lideresas, así como con los distintos grupos sociales y culturales que dan vida a la comunidad. Durante el encuentro conversamos sobre los proyectos que VOCES acompaña en el territorio, especialmente aquellos enfocados en la memoria histórica y en el fortalecimiento de la organización comunitaria junto a las juventudes de la comunidad.

✨ Agradecemos de corazón el cálido recibimiento que siempre nos brindan y la confianza con la que nos abren las puertas de su comunidad. Nos llena de alegría seguir caminando junto a ustedes y continuar imaginando, construyendo y acompañando iniciativas que fortalezcan la participación comunitaria, y permitan que Octavio Ortiz siga creciendo con la fuerza de su gente. 💜

| 🤝🌿 Yesterday we visited the Octavio Ortíz community, where we had the opportunity to meet with community leaders, as well as the social and cultural groups that help shape community life. Together, we reflected on the projects VOICES is currently supporting in the area, with a special focus on historical memory and strengthening community organizing alongside the youth of Octavio Ortiz.

✨ We are deeply grateful for the warm welcome we received and for the trust this community continues to place in us. It is an honor to walk alongside them as we continue imagining, developing, and supporting initiatives that strengthen community participation and help Octavio Ortíz continue to grow through the dedication and leadership of its people. 💜

| 🚤🌿 Ayer recorrimos los manglares y los bancos de arena en la Isla Tasajera, Bajo Lempa, junto a nuestro amigo Óscar González, presidente de la comunidad Isla de Montecristo. Mientras navegábamos por este importante ecosistema, conocimos más sobre la riqueza natural del territorio y los esfuerzos comunitarios que hacen posible su conservación.

🏡💜 La jornada también nos llevó a la comunidad Isla de Montecristo, donde recientemente inauguramos la nueva casa para las maestras que viven en la comunidad, y que hoy en día disfrutan de mejores condiciones para descansar y preparar sus jornadas de trabajo, fortaleciendo la labor educativa que realizan día a día junto a las niñas y niños de la comunidad.

| 🚤🌿 Yesterday we explored the mangroves and sandbanks on Tasajera Island, Bajo Lempa, with our friend Óscar González, president of the Isla de Montecristo community. As we navigated this important ecosystem, we learned more about the area's natural wealth and the community efforts that make its conservation possible.

🏡💜 The day also took us to the Isla de Montecristo community, where we recently inaugurated the new house for the teachers who live there, and who today enjoy better conditions to rest and prepare their work days, strengthening the educational work they do every day with the children of the community.

| 🌱🤝🏼 Como parte de nuestra visita al Bajo Lempa, la delegación compartió un enriquecedor espacio de diálogo con las lideresas y líderes de la comunidad Amando López, quienes nos expusieron los diversos proyectos e iniciativas que impulsan para fortalecer la organización comunitaria y seguir construyendo una comunidad resiliente.

Durante el encuentro también dialogamos con el grupo de jóvenes de la comunidad, quienes nos presentaron las iniciativas artísticas que lideran para preservar la memoria histórica de su territorio, demostrando que el arte también puede ser una poderosa herramienta para fortalecer la identidad y mantener viva la historia. ✨

💜 En VOCES creemos que estos encuentros nos permiten aprender de comunidades que, a través de la organización, la memoria y la participación de las nuevas generaciones, siguen sembrando esperanza y construyendo un futuro más justo.

📝 Nuestra primera jornada comenzó con un espacio de diálogo junto a Rafael Paz Narváez, docente de la Universidad de El Salvador, quien compartió con la delegación un panorama actualizado sobre la política educativa y el contexto social del país. Su análisis nos permitió comprender mejor los desafíos que enfrenta la educación salvadoreña y reflexionar sobre el momento que vive El Salvador.

💜 En VOCES creemos que conocer de cerca estas realidades es fundamental para construir puentes de solidaridad, fortalecer el pensamiento crítico, y promover un compromiso informado con las comunidades y organizaciones que creen en la educación como base de la justicia social.

📝 Our first day began with a meaningful conversation with Rafael Paz Narváez, professor at the University of El Salvador, who provided our delegation with an updated overview of the country's education policy and current social context. His insights helped us better understand the challenges facing education in El Salvador and reflect on the realities shaping the country today.

💜 At VOICES, we believe that engaging directly with these realities is essential to building solidarity, fostering critical thinking, and strengthening a shared commitment to the communities and organizations that see education as a foundation for social justice.
