The call for invited paper sessions for is now open through October 15. This year's theme, "Natural Resources, Natural Systems: Ecology in Action," is a call to explore how ecological science informs the way we manage, understand, and act on the systems we depend on. If your work touches this theme, whether directly or in ways you haven't fully connected yet, we'd love for you to help shape the conversation in Toronto.

All career stages are welcome to propose a session, and we especially encourage early-career researchers and graduate students to consider stepping into this role. Organizing a session is a great way to build your CV, and inviting and working with speakers throughout the process is a genuinely great way to grow your professional network and build momentum around a research area you care about.

Introducing ESA's Peer Review Academy: Preparing emerging ecological scientists to contribute rigorous, ethical, and constructive peer reviews while strengthening the future of ecological scholarship and scientific communication.

The ESA Peer Review Academy is a professional development program for early-career ecologists, environmental scientists, and interdisciplinary researchers seeking practical training in peer review and scholarly publishing. Through editor-led workshops, mentored review assignments, and discussion with ESA journal editors, participants build the skills, confidence, and judgment needed to evaluate ecological research and write constructive reviewer reports.

This initiative is designed to foster meaningful interaction, collaboration, and exchange across regions, disciplines, and perspectives, driven by strong community interest within ESA and partner communities for more globally connected forms of academic engagement.
