LA SOUFRIERE VOLCANO RELIEF DRIVE (SVG)

The La Soufriere Volcano relief drive was a huge success. CARE Foundations, Inc. collaborated with SVG Disaster Relief Committee of Washington D.C. and The Caribbean Disaster Relief and Recovery Alliance, Inc. (CDRRA, Inc.) Together, we were able to ship 121 barrels, boxes and equipment to S.V.G on 5/18/21.

Special thanks to the following persons; Simone Tesheira, for doing an excellent job of planning and coordinating the relief efforts. Jasmine Andrews, for ensuring the timely ex*****on of the day to day activities and logistics. Jasmine's hard work and dedication were vital. Sandra Bramble and St. John's Episcopal Anglican Church In Mount Rainier, MD for providing the space and accommodation.

We would also like to thank the Ebenezer Church Of God, Hyattsville, MD, First Baptist Church of Beltsville, MD and Target Intl Shipping, Inc for also playing a major role in the ultimate success of this endeavor. A sincere thanks to all of our donors, supporters and volunteers. The local Caribbean diaspora community came together to accomplish this international humanitarian initiative. The collective efforts, hard work and determination were a source of inspiration. Thank you for giving back to the community. Kyle WeekesZuri TesheiraVictoria Walker Morrison

Rain or shine, the community responded very well to this initiative and the overwhelming response amplified the need. We distributed over 150 boxes of produce and dairy. We will be sure to increase the frequency of this initiative. Special thanks to Jampsea Campbell for alerting her following and bringing an outstanding community response!
