Across the country, local YWCAs are responding to growing needs as families navigate uncertainty and the loss of critical resources. This is a time that calls for action. Every day, they are stepping in—meeting urgent needs and standing in the gap for women, children, and families.

At YWCA USA, we have a responsibility to ensure this work continues and grows. That’s why I’m proud to launch Meeting the Moment: Powering What’s Next—a campaign to support and expand this work across the country. Consider donating to YWCA USA today: https://bit.ly/4ub6wWE

In the spring and summer of 1988, Gloria Chun Hoo was a key player in the YWCA USA new logo design. It was the era of YWCA celebrating new beginnings with the implementation of the sunrise logo that ran from 1989 to 2004. It was a defining moment that created persimmon as our signature color. Thank you Gloria Chun Hoo for shaping YWCA.

"Yesterday's decision is a profound setback for our multiracial democracy — and a moral one as much as a legal one. It puts the diversity of our elected bodies and representation of all communities at risk," says Margaret Mitchell.

Last chance to get the most out of our Until Justice Just Is Challenge themed: "Democracy in Progress: Voting Rights at 250." This week, we turn our focus to voting rights—and how we take action in the face of ongoing challenges to our democracy. This week’s resources show how recent court decisions and proposed laws are limiting access to the ballot for Native communities, disabled people, and young voters. These barriers are happening right now, and they demand a response. As you move through the final week, reflect on how awareness, advocacy, and collective action can help protect the right to vote and ensure every voice is heard. Sign up to experience the final stretch of the challenge: https://bit.ly/3PeWZhr
