Semiquincentennial Commission and America250.org, Inc. Join us as we lead the nation in commemorating the 250th anniversary of America in 2026. America250 is a multi-year effort to commemorate the semiquincentennial, or 250th anniversary, of the United States This effort is led by the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission—created by Congress—and America250, which the Commission established to support

its work. Together, their purpose is to catalyze a more perfect union by designing and leading the most comprehensive and inclusive celebration in our country’s history. America250 represents a coalition of public and private partners all working to create initiatives and programs that honor our first 250 years and inspire the American spirit in all Americans and each American, as we demonstrate our commitment to be broadly inclusive in our nation’s diverse communities while providing unique experiences of every individual in our country. The commemoration period began in 2020, culminates on July 4, 2026, and officially concludes in 2027.

As America marks 250 years, we’re spotlighting partners turning shared ideals into action.

After announcing a $1 billion-plus manufacturing expansion in Jacksonville, Florida, employees from America250 partner Johnson & Johnson, including Chairman and CEO Joaquin Duato, took time to volunteer with The Arc Jacksonville, a local organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental differences.

Every act of service moves our nation forward. We’re helping to drive the largest year of volunteerism in our nation’s history.

George the Star visited the White House with this year's America's Field Trip awardees. 🇺🇸⭐

Students from across the country earned once-in-a-lifetime experiences celebrating America's 250th and experiencing the White House was one of them.

While exploring “The People’s House,” George tried his hand at bowling, visited the Oval Office, and even said hello to his namesake, George Washington.

A field trip with memories to last a lifetime!

Earlier this week, George the Star made a special appearance at the Girl Scouts 58th National Council Session at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC. 🇺🇸⭐

At the convention, America250 Chair Rosie Rios addressed delegates and Girl Scouts from across the country. She challenged every one of them to serve through America Gives, share their story through America's Field Trip and give back through Giving 4th.

Girl Scouts have been incredible partners in America250's mission and if the energy in that room is any indication, the future of America is in very good hands.

On July 4 in Philadelphia, America spoke to the future. America's Time Capsule was buried at Independence National Historical Park and will remain sealed until 2276.

As part of the nationwide Paint the Nation mural campaign celebrating America’s 250th birthday, we are thrilled to unveil this stunning mural in Madisonville, Texas, by the talented artist Gabriel “PASTE” Portillo! 🤠🎨

Growing up in a small Texas town himself, creating this mural was deeply meaningful for Portillo. His design honors Texas’s rich Western heritage using a bold red, white, and blue palette. The artwork beautifully weaves together local pride with national celebration.

This historic tribute was made possible by the generous funding and support of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, a company of Arca Continental. We also extend a special thank you to the City of Madisonville and the Madisonville Area Revitalization Initiative (MARI) for their partnership and enthusiasm in welcoming this project to the community!
