We are excited to announce the winner of this year’s Golden Mug Award: Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough.

Every year our graduates vote to give SEGL’s highest honor - the Golden Mug - to the guest speaker who has made the biggest impact on their lives.

MacDonough, the first female Parliamentarian of the U.S. Senate, has guided that body through countless legislative (and ethical) challenges since 2012 - including two Presidential impeachment trials and the events of January 6, 2021 - earning both respect and ire from Republicans and Democrats alike.
