❗ Important Update for Hospice and Palliative Care Providers

C-TAC has submitted critical comments on the DEA’s proposed telehealth rule, which, if finalized, could increase costs, add complexity, and reduce access to care for hospice and palliative providers.

The proposed changes would make temporary flexibilities from the COVID-19 emergency permanent—but with key issues that could impact patient care.

Read more about the challenges and concerns raised in our comments.

🚨 Government Shutdown Averted - What Does This Mean for Us? 🚨
In a critical move, U.S. leaders recently passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the federal government, avoiding a shutdown before the March 14, 2025, deadline. Traditionally, CRs maintain current fiscal year funding, but this time, the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives made notable changes:
🔻 $13B cut from nondefense spending
🔻 $20B cut from the IRS budget
🔻 $1B cut from the District of Columbia’s budget
🔺 $6B increase in defense spending
With the House adjourned, the U.S. Senate faced a tough decision: approve the bill or risk a government shutdown.

Want to understand the full implications of these changes? Dive into the details in our latest post. Read now: https://thectac.org/asset/blog/government-shutdown-averted-what-does-this-mean-for-us/
