Congratulations to Dr. Ben Peterson, the 2026 Emerging Public Intellectual Award winner.

The EPI award recognizes and fosters emerging talent—those working in the Christian academy who excel in both academic and public spheres and whose work impacts the common good.
The award is hosted by Redeemer University and sponsored by ActonInstitute, Cardus, the Center for Public Justice, the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities, the The Paul B. Henry Institute at Calvin University, the Mouw Institute for Faith and Public Life at Fuller Seminary, and the Reformed House of Studies at Wycliffe College.

Dr. Ben Peterson is exploring how the church can be a sanctuary that builds virtue and hope in an age of confusion and fragmentation. Redeemer’s Albert M. Wolters Centre for Christian Scholarship will welcome Peterson on February 1, 2027 as he gives The World and Our Calling lecture.

October marks the beginning of Christian Higher Education Month!

In 2003, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing October as Christian Higher Education Month, and each year, the CCCU shares impact, stories, and examples of what institutions are doing in the lives of individuals and communities.

Christ-centered higher education is equipping the next generation of teachers, business leaders, professors, doctors and nurses, sports medicine professionals, pastors and missionaries, entrepreneurs, and more.

A calling's value should not be determined by the size of a paycheck. Students should not be denied educational opportunities simply because they choose fields of study shaped by their faith and commitment to serving others.

We are supportive of and appreciate the dedication of Senator Lankford to introducing the Religious Education Fairness Act, which "would help protect students studying for ministry and other religious vocations from losing access to federal student aid under the new earnings test."

Utilizing many of the student assessment instruments your institution is already using, this annual research project provides a valuable opportunity for your institution to collect data from your students, which can help improve student retention and success, prepare for accreditation, and develop data-driven strategic planning.
