📣Deadline extended! Apply for URGE's first-ever "Our Community, Our Power, Our Vote" content festival! Link in bio, applications now due 7/31✨

As National Voter Registration Day approaches, we're calling on young artists, creators, writers, and activists to create content about why you vote or don't vote, what does civic engagement look like beyond voting, and how you build power in your communities.

Whether it's casting a ballot, organizing with your neighbors, participating in mutual aid, speaking out on issues you care about, or advocating for change in your own way, civic engagement takes many forms.
The opportunity is open to:

👥People ages 18-30
📍Applicants from, living in, or attending college in an URGE Investment State (AL, CA, GA, KS, OH & TX)

Submit your video, graphic, zine, and article proposals today!✊🏽

Spend a day with me on the hill with
URGE! We had productive meetings where we discussed different legislation that would advance reproductive justice and can only hope these reps take our words into consideration. I’m so grateful for this amazing opportunity and am so blessed to be able to do what I do. Thank you, URGE for making this possible for me and so many others. 💖

BREAKING: SCOTUS protects birthright citizenship in Trump v. Barbara, striking down Trump's executive order that denied birthright citizenship to children born from undocumented parents or people with temporary visas

While we're celebrating today's victory, we know that we need to continue organizing and fighting for immigrant rights across the country.

BREAKING: SCOTUS upholds state laws banning trans women and girls in sports in 2 landmark cases, allowing similar bans to take effect across the country.

We have seen an unprecedented amount of legislation, rhetoric, and harm being thrown at our trans communities, aimed at excluding trans young people from every aspect of society.

Let's make this clear — we will NEVER stop fighting for trans rights, justice, and joy. Trans communities deserve to participate equitably in society with dignity and respect.

4 years post-Dobbs, and the fight for continues.

While we know that barriers to abortion access and reproductive healthcare existed long before Roe v Wade was overturned, the Dobbs decision has exacerbated barriers to care and access, disproportionately impacting marginalized communities in the South and Midwest.

Swipe to learn more about the current landscape of abortion access and reproductive health, and how we're fighting back.

Happy ! 🖤 We're breaking down the history of June 19, its move into the mainstream, and recent politicized attacks against the important holiday.

June 19 marks Juneteenth, when over 250,000 enslaved people in TX were notified of their freedom two and half years after the Emancipation Day.

While Juneteenth has been celebrated by Black families in America for years, it became a nationally recognized holiday in 2021. Since then, it's been at the center of culture wars and anti-Black racism.

Despite the attacks, Juneteenth still matters, and continues to be a core celebration of Black freedom, resistance and our culture.
