Happy Giving Tuesday! GivingTuesday is a global day of giving during the season of giving. Alternative Breaks works with so many amazing organizations here in DC and across the country such as Martha’s Table, Mujeres de Islas, and Green Communities! Every year, Alternative Breaks fundraises money to send volunteers to the organizations to provide extra in-person labor and assistance when students are out of school. We also work closely with each non-profit to increase education and awareness surrounding the issue areas and the organizations themselves. Each organization focuses on a different important social issue in their region and all need any support available. Please consider donating directly to each of the organizations or to Alternative Breaks to help us support them. Any donation is really appreciated!

Green Communities brings sustainable development to the Los Santos region of Costa Rica by converting conventional coffee farms into organic ecological coffee farms. With the involvement of student volunteers, Green Communities will protect the cloud forests, raise the economic status and awareness of ecology in local communities, while creating mediums for cultural exchange.

As a fundraiser for the Alternative Breaks program, you can order 1 lb bags of ground coffee from farms that have been converted to ecological agricultural techniques through the Green Communities' efforts and programming.

Deliveries can only be made within the United States.
To learn more about Green Communities, visit their website here: https://greencommunities-cr.org/

All orders should be received within 2-3 weeks of your order.
