We are demanding that Chief of MPD, Robert Contee, send up his recommendation to the Deputy Mayor and Mayor to fire Commander Jason Bagshaw and Sergeant Camacho for the senseless killings of Lazarus “David” Wilson and Kevin Hargraves-Shird.

On July 16th, MPD Officer Jason Bagshaw shot and killed a member of our community. Freedom Fighters DC would like to express our condolences and complete solidarity to David’s family, friends, and community.

In this time of grief, funds have been requested to cover funeral expenses, as well as David’s family’s wellbeing. Cashapp $LongLiveMopp will go directly to the family.

These funds will help take the financial hardship out of the grieving process caused by another MPD murder.

The irony of celebrating a country that stole land to escape religious persecution is not lost on us. America is a fascist country and by celebrating this country is celebrating fascism.

What do you have to celebrate on July 4th? It isn’t independence, especially when your rights are being stripped away, everyday.

We deeply appreciate everyone who showed their support, making last night the success that it was. We remain humbled and honored that people are invested in our vision for community agency; it's no surprise that y'all know how to have a good time as well 😉 The Sneaker Ball was a strong step on the journey toward making this garden a reality, a journey we will enthusiastically share with all who have helped make it possible.

COMMUNITY GIVEAWAY!!!!

Irrespective of context, FFDC is dedicated to accessibility, and has always made a concerted effort to ensure that any event with which we are involved includes our community; our Sneaker Ball fundraiser this weekend is no exception. With precious few tickets remaining, we have reserved two spots for free admittance Saturday night. Participation in the raffle merely requires two simple steps:

1) Repost our event flyer on your story (and tag us!).
2) Tag two friends in the comments of this post.

Anyone is eligible to be a recipient, and the friends you tag are more than welcome to submit their entries as well! The raffle will be open until 5:00 pm tomorrow, at which point winners will be announced.
