✨Today the Nation’s Capital Chapter proudly celebrates seven years of intentional service and unwavering dedication to Black families within the Washington, DC community and beyond.

During our 3rd Annual Brunch, Bubbly & Beats: School Daze event we were humbled to raise more than $20,000 to support the HBCU College GAP Fund extending opportunities to deserving scholars.

We sincerely thank all of our sponsors and the amazing fundraising committee whose contributions made this event possible.

We also express our heartfelt appreciation to PP LaToria Eason-Brent, PVP Julia Miles-Davis, and the pioneering Charter Mothers whose commitment established this chapter with purpose, pride, and a focus on uplifting our community. With this strong foundation we will continue to build upon this for years to come! 🩷💙

November is Prematurity Awareness Month, a time to acknowledge the current state of maternal and infant health in our country and around the world in order to find solutions to support mothers and babies. While many women do have healthy pregnancies, the U.S. is among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, with each year 1 in 10 babies is born preterm.

Black mothers are 1.5 times more likely to deliver a premature baby than whites, and a premature Black baby is twice as likely to die before their first birthday.

Every tiny fighter deserves a chance to thrive! Join the Nation’s Capital Chapter in spreading hope and support for all premature babies.

For more information, check out who’s also advocating for mothers across the country.

🩷💙 Jack and Jill Day and Carole Robertson Day 💙🩷

We joined chapters across the country in honoring the life and legacy of Carole Robertson — a young leader and Jack and Jill teen whose light was tragically taken in the 1963 Birmingham church bombing.

We hosted a family fun day of games, activities, and mindfulness moments in honor of Carole’s strength, courage, and commitment to service. Take a look at some of our highlights from the day.

The Nation’s Capital Chapter proudly joined our Eastern Region family for the 2025 Southern Cluster Area Work Day! In a day full of fellowship, connection, and learning best practices, the greatest moment was witnessing our very own Teen, Kiye Corbitt, win the Cluster Oratorical Contest! From inspiring workshops to powerful presentations, the day was a true celebration of excellence and sisterly fellowship! Kudos to RD Fatimah Moody and the Reston Chapter for leading an amazing AWD!
