Sooo, The Green Coterie showed up for the 1st Annual "Hot Girl Walk", sponsored by Alexis Motley Jones of Salon Egeaux and it was so very delightful!

The ladies were all smiles and revved up to get'er done and the 3-mile walk on the National Mall did my legs, heart and soul some good!

Not to mention it was an absolute BEAUTIFUL day on Sunday!

Alexis, I truly enjoyed this initiative to help local educators get the supplies they need to start this school year off prepared!

If you missed it this year, yeah... there will be next year! Stay tuned!!

With the intricacies of the internet and especially with school starting again, please talk with your kids about being blackmailed.

When my children were young, I created an “amnesty pact”. The rules were simple, if at any time they felt they’d done something they’d be ashamed or fearful of if anyone found out about it, they would have amnesty with me to tell me about it.

All they would have to do is start the conversation off with “Mom, I want amnesty”.

Meaning, I’d be prepared to simply listen with absolutely no judgement.

This also means, no one should be able to take a mistake and turn it into a lifetime of regret and blackmailing.

When I created my first vision board, I filled it with pretty pictures of women traveling, of stacks of money and a handsome, virile-looking man staring into the eyes of some lucky woman.

I didn't really know HOW to make this thing work for me but it was cute though!

And as it collected dust in some corner of my home, I went about my life, seeing nothing on the board coming into fruition.

I now know, not only must I KNOW what I want specifically, but I also needed to have some kind of action plan to gain it. I also needed to be reminded of my goals on a daily basis.

Now, when I hold vision board events, I incorporate ALL of that into the process of building the board. When I look at my last board, I now it's time to create a new one! All of my old dreams have come to pass!
