Next month, we're heading to New York City for Innovation Forumโ€™s Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference USA, happening June 3-4.

Our Vice President, Research & Development Tiffany Rogers will be moderating a session on one of the most pressing tensions in the industry right now:

As climate impacts displace garment workers and cost-cutting pressures mount, the E and S in ESG cannot be treated as separate agendas. The session will dig into what a actually looks like in practice.

At Innovation Forumโ€™s Sustainable Apparel and Textile Conference in Amsterdam last week, our Senior Vice President of Social Compliance Mari-lou Dupont moderated two separate sessions.

The first centered on and why worker welfare starts but doesnโ€™t end with decent pay, while the second featured a engaging discussion on how to engage, respond, and remediate with local context and sensitivity.

Weโ€™re glad we had the chance to participate in another great Innovation Forum event. Next up: the US edition of the Sustainable Apparel and Textile Conference in New York City in June. More details coming ๐Ÿ”œ

We partnered with ฤฐyi Pamuk Uygulamalarฤฑ DerneฤŸi (IPUD) โ€” Better Cotton Initiative's implementing partner in Tรผrkiye โ€” to deliver a two-day training-of-trainers last month in ลžanlฤฑurfa, one of the country's largest cotton-producing regions.

Twenty-three field agronomists and technical specialists deepened their knowledge of international labor standards, human rights due diligence, indicators, and gender-responsive grievance mechanisms, building the practical skills needed to integrate these topics into their daily farmer and farmworker outreach.

Participants left with concrete plans to embed what they learned into field visits and farmer trainings, marking a meaningful step toward stronger implementation of Better Cotton's Criterion 5 regarding social requirements on the ground. This training is part of our broader commitment to building lasting local capacity, ensuring that

Freedom of association and collective bargaining are integral to worker empowerment and give workers a voice to ask for what they need.

On and every day, companies committed to decent and humane working conditions in their global supply chains must recognize and respect workers' rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
