ACTION ALERT

For the very first time, tomorrow, a congressional committee will consider a bill that ENDS MA*****NA PROHIBITION. The Ma*****na Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2019 (MORE Act) addresses the economic, social, and criminal injustices caused by the criminalization of ma*****na.

SSDP is asking for you all to take action and contact your officials to support the MORE Act.

Click this link https://action.ssdp.org/qhWfrpI
and you can chose to either call your representative, send an email, or Tweet at them! Do one or all three but please do your part in making ma*****na not a crime! With legalization we need to EXPUNGE ma*****na criminal convictions! Do your part everyone!

I just took action to urge my legislators to support the MORE Act, which is more than just end ma*****na prohibition. Take a few minutes to do the same!

!!Help us pass the SAFE Banking Act of 2019!!

This bipartisan legislation addresses an issue between state and federal cannabis policy. Most banks are unwilling to work with cannabis businesses due to the fear of federal prosecution; this means that cannabis businesses can not receive loans. This makes it VERY difficult for cannabis businesses because this forces them to operate cash-only, which makes them and their staff vulnerable as potential targets for crime.

If this banking issue is solved, it would improve business transparency and compliance, reduce safety risks that come with being a cash-only business, and promotes public health and safety through ensuring broader patient access.

HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP:
1. Send an email to your U.S Representative
https://action.ssdp.org/ZuugGJ6

2. Share it with others once you submitted your message to Representative Mark Pocan, OR post the link online

I just took action to support the SAFE Banking Act to protect the legal cannabis market and ensure equal & safe access to banking services. Now it's your turn!
