"To standard-bearers of progress, peace is the ultimate victory." 🕊️

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the courage and sacrifice of the brave individuals who gave everything in service to our nation.

As Franklin D. Roosevelt reminded us, the truest way to honor the fallen is to continue building a world rooted in peace, freedom, and human dignity. Today, we remember, we reflect, and we express our deepest gratitude.

Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful Memorial Day. ❤️🇺🇸

An amazing night exploring the FDR Memorial landscape design of Larry Halprin and the collaboration of all the artists who made the memorial the masterpiece that it is. Left to right Steven Koch who worked with Halprin during the final design phase of the Memorial, Noriko Fujinami who worked with sculptor Robert Graham, world renowned landscape Laurie Olin who served on committee led by Halprin to decide on wheelchair statue placement and design, and moderator Charles Birnbaum, President and Founder of The Cultural Landscape Foundation. Hosted by the FDR Memorial Foundation - our new name!! In partnership with The Cultural Landscape Foundation .

On this day, May 2, 1997 – 29 years ago -  the FDR Memorial was dedicated by President Bill Clinton. The Memorial remains as poignant and powerful as it was back in 1997.  Be sure to visit!
In this photo - the front row -left to right - former US Senator Daniel Inouye, who served as Co-Chair of the FDR Memorial Commission; former Second Lady Tipper Gore; former Vice President Al Gore, former First Lady Hillary Clinton, and President Bill Clinton, who due to an accident was using crutches during that time.

Which one would you visit first? 👀

From quiet shores to mountain retreats, each place tells a different part of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s story. Not just where he lived but where he healed, escaped, and found strength.

Next time you’re in DC and need to vent, head straight to the FDR Memorial. Fala is officially the city’s best listener—10/10, zero notes.

First Lady of the World? More like CEO of the Hype Squad.

We’re bringing some new energy to the FDR Memorial today. Eleanor Roosevelt was a trailblazer, a leader, and the ultimate advocate—so naturally, she’s the head of our Hype Squad.
