DCLEVEEs New Orleans and Back Program We seek to empower youth through civic responsibility by putting an emphasis on the importance of art

12/01/2019

Giving Tuesday is approaching, please consider donating to DCLEVEE New Orleans and Back Program.

PLEASE consider supporting us during this transition as we revamp the program becoming an individual sponsor for this year. As a sponsor, you would contribute towards website fees, grant writing, promotional material, and dues towards the required non-profit cost. Your sponsor status would subsequently be acknowledged on the program website, as well as on all program social media, advertising, and program events.

At DC LEVEE (DC Leaders Empowering Visionary Educational Excellence), we seek to empower high school students to develop leadership skills and civic responsibility by conducting art-based service-learning locally in Washington, DC and during an annual weeklong service trip to help rebuild communities devastated by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA. While we have successfully completed eleven service trips, helped twenty-three high school students attain full or partial college scholarships for their community arts work, and led three multiple-day youth service conferences for high schoolers throughout the Washington, DC area, we still have a lot to accomplish.

I would be happy to provide you with more information about how your company can help DC LEVEE. Please contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

We would greatly appreciate your donation, and it will be used to ensure that current alumni and future high school students can design and create functional art to fundraise for future service trips to New Orleans.

Please join us! With your donation, we're one step closer to ensuring that more Washington, DC high school students can improve their lives and their communities through arts-based service learning!
