Don’t miss our National Virtual Townhall Thurs., September 14th @ 7:30p EST.

We’ll be joined by guests from SEIU TX (Service Employees International Union Texas) airport service workers and Starbucks Workers United. 😄

We’ll get into the moves they’ve made this summer☀️, what’s happening now⌚️, and ways communities of faith can show up now and in the future so we can have lasting impacts in the labor movement ✊🏽.

IN4WS Supports Good Jobs for Good Airports ✈️✊🏼🙏🏾

Labor Day has come and gone. It’s time to take action to support workers. The FAA Reauthorization bill is in the US Senate right now!

IN4WS been working closely w/ SEIU’s national team because SEIU Airport Workers United included Good Jobs for Good Airports fair wage and benefits standards to the bill. This passing of this bill would make positive changes for workers and their families.

The opportunity🧐??! For clergy and faith leaders to make an impact on the direction of the vote 🗳️ . Simply share why you as a faith leader believe it is important for this bill to pass with these standards🗣️📧. Let’s tell Congress to “Fix Air Travel for Passengers and Airport Service Workers!"

Details about how to send a note of support and share our IN4WS Support Letter with your Senator are located at bit.ly/in4ws2023toolkitsite.

Happy Friday good people! It’s Labor Day Weekend 😆🌭⛵️! While you’re grilling, at the lake, or just relaxing at home, enjoy some reading and video reflections about the importance of Labor Day to communities of faith.

The Wendland-Cook Program in Religion and Justice at Vanderbilt University has posted its third annual Interventions installment for Labor Day.❤️

Our very own Revs. L. Robin Murray, ED, and Francisco Garcia, Board Member, have written two great entries worth the read 🤓📚✊🏼(so are the others 😊).

**Found on Apple podcast & Spotify***

Join host Rev. L. Robin Murray, IN4WS Executive Director, as she and her guests dig deep into the issues that workers and their families face. We’ll discover how communities of faith can deepen our own understanding and identities as we stand and act with working people.

Join us on this journey and learn about actions taking place across the country by people in the faith and labor movement.

Our first guest is long time faith and labor organizer and Episcopal priest, Rev. Francisco Garcia. We'll discuss the writers and actors strikes, key labor organizing basics & connections to faith.

Let's get into it.

Teamsters have a tentative contract agreement!!!

Want to show your support for Teamsters’ UPS workers???? Sign our support letter today 💪🏾🙌🏼 ✍🏽 http://bit.ly/in4ws_teamstersups2023

The Interreligious Network for Worker Solidarity pledges to stand with the UPS workers in the event of a strike until a fair and just contract is achieved. We call on all people of faith who value the dignity of work to stand with us.

Considering more than 50% of UPS workers are part time employees, we strongly support the demand to provide them with increased pay for living wages, during this next round of bargaining. The workers rely upon these wages to sustain them and their families and they need wages that match increased costs of living. More than that, we urge UPS to provide more opportunities for full-time work across the country.

We think it's about time. UPS!
