We’re getting crafty at DC Brau, and YOU’RE INVITED! 🍻
DC² is gearing up for our Fall Festival on October 31, but first...we’ve got some making to do!
Join us Friday, October 16, for a Volunteer Crafty Hour at DC Brau! We’re rounding up our creative neighbors to help us dream up and build some larger-than-life decorations, papier-mâché creations, festival props, and other fun pieces to bring a little Halloween magic to the big day! 🎃
Got skills? Bring ‘em! Don’t have skills? Bring yourself anyway! 😂 Whether you’re an artist, a builder, a DIY enthusiast, or just someone who loves getting their hands dirty and making cool stuff, we’ve got room for you!
🍻 And because we’re hanging at DC Brau, there’ll be happy hour specials and Pizza Paradiso to keep the creative juices flowing!
👻 OH, AND DID WE MENTION THE COSTUME SWAP?!
Dig through those closets and bring out your gently used Halloween costumes! We’ll be swapping costumes at Crafty Hour AND again at Fall Festival on October 31. Your old costume might be somebody else’s new favorite!

This Saturday, December 6th, we’re hosting a Community Drive at The Winter Festival, and you won’t want to miss it!

Join us at the National Arboretum from 10AM–3PM as we collect new and gently used winter items for families in need. From diapers and formula to maternity clothes, pajamas, and children and infant winter wear essentials, every donation helps keep someone warm this season. ❤️🧤

The season of thoughtful giving is here. 💛 This December, DC Squared is transforming our 11th annual Procrastinator’s Holiday Market into It’s a Wonderful Ward, a full month of joyful, local celebrations across Ward 5.
Start with Small Business Saturday on Nov 29 and Giving Tuesday on Dec 2, then join us at the Winter Festival and Tree Sale in partnership with the U.S. National Arboretum🌲 Friends of the National Arboretum on Dec 6 and at Kraken Kourts & Skates on Dec 20 for our expanded Procrastinator’s Holiday Market.
Plus, RIAMS Rhode Island Avenue Main Street and UBRMS Bladensburg Road Main Street will host workshops, pop-up markets, swaps, and free activities all month long. 🎁
