On this day, October 4, 1864, the New Orleans Tribune became the first Black daily newspaper in the United States. A reminder that telling our own stories has always been an act of power. That's exactly why storytelling and media literacy are part of our Cultural and Education Academy curriculum. 📰

Confidence isn't only built in the classroom, it's built on stages, on trips, and on experiences that show our youth the world is bigger than their zip code. This is Exposure, one of our 5 E's in action. ✨

October is here, and it's a big month for advocacy: it's both National Youth Justice Action Month and National Bullying Prevention Month.

At OmniQuest, both hit close to home and our work exists to help young people avoid the school-to-prison pipeline and build the confidence to stand up for themselves and each other. Follow along this month as we dig into both. 💜

Empowerment grows stronger when we honor where we come from and for all of our youth and neighbors. 💜

Education is one of our 5 E's and it's the foundation everything else is built on. 📚
Our Cultural and Education helps youth in grades 3-12 build critical thinking and writing skills while learning the richness of African American history and culture. 💜
