This year, the SMCAGJ annual luncheon benefiting our scholarship program will be held at the excellent Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos! Even better, our featured speaker, Casey Villar, San Mateo County Adult Protective Services Training and Outreach Specialist, will discuss the latest scams targeting seniors (and others) and how to avoid them.

Bianchini’s Market in San Carlos will cater lunch. The boxed lunch includes the salad of the day, assorted cookies, soft drinks, and water. You can choose one of three sandwiches: Oven-roasted turkey, Slow-roasted beef, or the Chef’s selection of fresh, seasonal roasted vegetables. You can also tour the museum! All of this for only $35 each.

The SMCAGJ participated in Seniors on the Move at the San Mateo County Event Center (Fairgrounds). We spread the word about the Civil Grand Jury, met several former jurors, and spoke with attendees who were interested in applying! Thank you to members Debbie Briscoe, Barbara Creeden, and John McDowell who staffed our table.
