This , take a closer look at what’s really behind the seafood on your plate. Labels like “eco-friendly” or “wild-caught” don’t always tell the full story. That’s why our Nuestro Mar, Nuestro Futuro Seafood Toolkit is designed to equip Latino leaders and communities with the local knowledge needed to break down confusing labels and fishing practices. Protecting our oceans starts with investing in community wisdom and stewardship of our natural resources. By understanding sustainable standards, our network is prepared to drive the narratives and actions that protect marine ecosystems for generations to come. We cannot build a mentally healthy nation alone. It takes community, partnership, and dedicated leadership.

To honor this shared mission during Mental Health Awareness Month, our Chief of Networks and Program Manager sponsored and attended the annual APAF Gala at San Francisco City Hall. The evening celebrated our ongoing partnership with the American Psychiatric Association Foundation for our Iglesias Sanas, Comunidades Sanas (Healthy Churches, Healthy Communities) Initiative. We are proud to stand alongside APAF and the next generation of psychiatrists as we work to ensure everyone, in every community, has the opportunity to thrive. Today, we honor and remember the brave individuals who served our country and helped shape a better future for generations to come. As we gather with loved ones this Memorial Day, we reflect on the values of unity, service, compassion, and community that continue to strengthen and uplift us all.

05/23/2026

This , we celebrate the leaders helping create healthier, more connected communities. Through our Iglesias Sanas, Comunidades Sanas initiative, we have trained 60 faith leaders in Mental Health First Aid, equipping them with the tools to recognize signs of mental health challenges, provide support, and connect individuals with the help they need.

By empowering trusted community leaders to serve on the front lines, we are helping break down stigma, foster understanding, and create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to seek help without fear or shame.
