Through moments of mindfulness on the course, they’ve learned how to manage stress, reset after challenges, and stay present. This video brings their voices together to show how golf supports mental health in meaningful, lasting ways.

We held our first programming in our newly-opened studio in Reston, Virginia, this morning. Six Girl Scouts, ages 3-14, learned how to putt and swing, learned about different parts of the golf course through our simulator technology, and learned about the many benefits of playing golf, all while having a bunch of fun.

Connecting with young people through golf is not only tons of fun, but it also provides them with lessons and skills they can benefit from for a lifetime. This spring, we had a great experience working with seventh graders from Buck Lodge Middle School with our Ready, Set, Golf! Program. We thank their administrators for partnering with us.

Here's a few notes the students left us as we closed out our sessions:

-"At first I wasn't too sure, but after learning and getting to know new friends, I'm loving golf."

-"It has been helpful to me in this program to have fun without using my phone."

-"I think other kids should learn golf because it helps them better themselves physically and mentally."

When an assistant principal created an after-school golf club, students got to see her in a new light.

We're thankful and honored to have been selected as a grant recipient of the inaugural LPGA Legacy Initiative. This award will impact hundreds of girls through our Ready, Set, Golf! and CitySwing Links programs.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) strives to elevate, empower, and inspire girls and women on and off the golf course. For this reason, it launched the inaugural LPGA Legacy Initiative, reinforcing the LPGA’s commitment to honoring the community by supporting local organizations that champion women and girls in sports, education, and community development.
