We are open and working from our homes - the incidents of family violence are increasing as the corona pandemic continues, with so many people having no choice but to be in close quarters with those with whom they may be vulnerable.
January is the month of more child abuse reports every year than in any other month of the year. With the month almost ending, there are reports of increased child abuse and domestic family violence (child abuse, spouse/partner abuse, elder abuse) under the pandemic's lockdown conditions.
If you know anyone who is vulnerable to violence in their home, take a moment to check in with them by phone or text or email to assure them by offering to be helpful in any way they think will be helpful, including offering to check in with them again ONLY if your further contact will not add to their vulnerability.

Thank you for any help you can give them and thank you for your critical financial support as we continue to work during this difficult time.
The National Council on Child Abuse and Family Violence (NCCAFV) and its American Campaign provide prevention services.
