Thank you Detroit for showing up!

This past weekend in Eastern Market, One Nation, Overcharged unveiled Oshun Williams’ new mural with a block party and artist talk centered on the real impact of rising healthcare costs.

Through art, conversation, games, and community, people shared their own experiences and connected over a topic that impacts so many of us. believes art can open the door to conversations that aren’t always easy to start and Oshun’s work did just that.

The mural is still up, go check it out!

Huge thank you to Dante, sillygirlcarmen, and nevertoomanytabs for keeping the music and energy right all day.

Culture doesn’t move on its own.
It moves when people invest in it.

From public art projects to creative partnerships and creator education, our work shows what’s possible when artists and communities have the support they need.

As we close out the year, we’re raising $25,000 to continue this work in 2025 — and every gift is matched through December 31.
