UNAVSA is proud to announce Week 3 of our first ever Vietnamese Advocacy Month! This week we’ll be focusing on healthcare and labour rights, and how it affects our communities.
As an organization that is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders who will serve as stewards of the Vietnamese community, we believe the importance of truly understanding health as a human right and connecting workers’ rights to human rights.
This creates a political and moral space to acknowledge the value of human rights for workers in the healthcare and labour fields, giving workers the voice they need, especially vulnerable groups such as the unorganised, under-skilled, and undocumented.
We’re kicking this week off by defining some key terms in the world of healthcare and labour rights in both the United States and Canada.
Check back later this week to hear from our UNAVSA cabinet Instagram takeovers, more infographics, and our main event! We’ll also update our website and corresponding webpages as we release new resources throughout the week. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
