Letina Brady Pettis, former Windy City Branch President of National Association of University Women and founder of Get Out The Vote (GOTV) 4 Teens, established National Teens Voter Registration Day and was honored with the Illinois State Senate Resolution declaring September 10th as Teens Voter Registration Day. On September 10th, the Windy City Branch of National Association of University Women joined Letina Brady Pettis, founder of National Teens Voter Registration Day, to register over 100 students between the ages of 16 and 18. This movement is focused on empowering the next generation and ensuring their voices are heard.

As you may know, my organization, The National Association of University Women-Windy City Branch, and me, as their president, became proud sponsors of The Crown Act. I am pleased to announce The Crown petition reached 500k signatures; wow. In addition, 21 states and 44 municipalities have agreed to protect against hair discrimination because of The Crown Act.
