The Delhi High Court has quashed cases against NewsClick and editor Prabir Purkayastha, calling them a “gross abuse of law” and noting that the foreign investment at issue did not violate the law.

Investigations should not be weaponized to punish journalism or silence dissent.

The Court noted that FDI received by the Newsclick company did not violate any law.

We’re excited that Ria Chakrabarty, Senior Policy Director at Hindus for Human Rights, will join diverse leaders at CAP’s “Religious Liberty for Whom?” event on June 16.

Religious liberty must be rooted in dignity, pluralism, and protection for all communities.

Please join the Center for American Progress, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Interfaith Alliance, and the American Humanist Association in Washington, D.C., for the launch of our new report, “Religious Liberty For All: Celebrating This Founding Freedom at America 250.”

“Hindus and Muslims are not ‘taking over’ Texas. We are building homes, raising families, serving our communities, praying in our own traditions, and contributing to the shared civic life of this country.”

In light of a recent wave of anti-Hindu, anti-Muslim, and anti-Indian hate across Texas, Hindus for Human Rights strongly denounces this harmful rhetoric. We understand that this hate speech is a political strategy used to vilify minorities and immigrants, and push far right white nationalism.

Khurram Parvez, a Kashmiri human rights defender, was granted bail after nearly 4.5 years in jail without a completed trial.

Bail is not freedom: and he remains jailed in another case. Human rights work is not a crime.

YouTube removing Anand Patwardhan’s Father, Son and Holy War as “too violent” gets the issue exactly backward.

The film does not glorify violence. It exposes how religious nationalism, masculinity, and political power manufacture it.

A documentary that won national awards and was ordered by India’s Supreme Court to be shown in the public interest should not vanish because it makes powerful truths uncomfortable.

The filmmaker criticised the platform saying ‘remove the censors, not good sense’.

Amnesty International is warning that Pakistan’s “terrorism” designation of the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee marks a dangerous escalation in the crackdown in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

This is what the misuse of anti-terror laws looks like: a grassroots movement is criminalized, communications are cut off, arrests escalate, and protesters are met with deadly force.

The right to protest, organize, report, and demand political and economic rights must be protected—not punished. https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2026/06/pakistan-terrorism-designation-of-pro[…]nt-marks-dangerous-escalation-in-jammu-and-kashmir-crackdown/

Crackdown in Pakistan-administrated Jammu and Kashmir has included an internet shutdown, mass arbitrary arrests, and deadly use of force

Parama Ekadashi is remembered through a story of a married couple facing the ultimate hardship with devotion, discipline, and care.

Its lesson is of spiritual companionship: sustaining one another with humility and courage.

May our practice become compassion, service, and justice.

From India to the UK, rights groups are pressing governments to investigate alleged Gaza war crimes under international law. This case is a reminder that accountability for alleged war crimes in Gaza cannot stop at borders or alliances.

The Hind Rajab Foundation said that New Delhi was obligated under the Geneva Conventions to detain Eitan Gilboa who is vacationing in the northern state.

Yogendra Yadav’s warning is stark: the SIR verdict could normalize “curated voter lists” for decades.

When the voter roll itself becomes a site of exclusion, elections are no longer just contested at the ballot box—they are shaped before voters ever arrive. https://en.themooknayak.com/politics/democracys-soul-has-been-taken-yogendra-yadav-war[…]ir-verdict-will-allow-curated-voter-lists-for-next-50-years

The Mooknayak is dedicated to marginalized and unprivileged people of India. It works on the principle of the Constitution.

Eleven years into the Modi-Shah era, anti-Muslim politics is not a side effect. It is a governing project: through policy, rhetoric, erased representation, and manufactured hate, a strategy to maintain power by turning one community into a permanent target.

Eleven years into the Modi-Shah regime, is it clear that the marginalisation of Muslims is not a by-product of the BJP’s politics. It is expressed through policy, rhetoric, the denial of representation and the manufacture of communal hatred.
