The future of work is finding ways for workers to uniquely meet their goals through self-driven work. More Americans are turning to independent work, but there is still more to be done to support workers in the app-based industry.

TOWN SQUARE | Part-time employment, freelancing and even seasonal jobs are acceptable proof of income when applying for a mortgage. However, you will need to show a two-year income history for each of these jobs if you want it to be used to qualify you on your mortgage application.

Today President Joe Biden signed the $1.5 trillion omnibus bill into law. Unfortunately, the bill failed to include vital funding to support restaurants. We’ve called on Congress to act and provide necessary funding in future legislation.

Whether transporting patrons safely to and from bars and restaurants or serving as a critical revenue stream for restaurants, app-based companies both support these businesses, and are uniquely tied to their success.

When the restaurants that have survived the pandemic have to close, it means that consumers have fewer options and our drivers have fewer opportunities to deliver.

We urge House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Chuck Schumer, Leader Kevin McCarthy, and Senator Mitch McConnell to schedule a vote on this legislation and help our economy recover from the pandemic.
