Thanks for your interest in Pack 2166 Mt Sinai. Here’s some more info about who we are and what we do. Scouts is all about teaching kiddos life skills, exploring nature, building confidence and having fun. Time and location of meets will be worked out in September, but this past year each den (grouped by grade-level) met every other Thursday from 6 – 7. Pack Nights (grades K – 5) met the last Friday of every month from 6 – 7. Here’s a high level summary of the badges we’ll be working toward. Here’s a list of the special events we did this past year:
• Pinewood Derby
• Sleepover on the Intrepid
• Raingutter Regatta
• Horseback Riding
• Cabin Camping
• Family Camping
• Hikes
• Robotics
• Jamboree
• Fishing
• Beach/park cleanups
• Calverton Flag/wreath laying
• Bike Rodeo
• Christmas Party
• Food Drive
• Scout night at Raceway and Ducks Game
• Parade march
September Dues are ~$225 + ~$50 for a Lion uniform. Some special events like overnights will require an additional fee. January dues of $65 are waived
Parents are welcome to attend any and all events. Drop-off at den/pack meets may be an option for Wolves (2nd graders) and above depending on Den Leader preference.
Our pack is entirely parent/volunteer run so all parents will be expected to volunteer in some capacity. We are especially looking for parents willing to step up and serve as Den Leaders.
We use the BAND app for communications. Feel free to check it out if you’d like.
