This overrepresentation of Black people in the criminal legal system is due to a history of racism that Black communities are still enduring till this day. By shrinking the system, we can end mass incarceration and heal Black communities by restoring equity and uniting families.

Georgia is used to balmy, sunny days, but not when they happen as late into the year as December! Last month was the second HOTTEST December in Georgia. This is why it’s so important to act on climate.

In keeping with recent trends, temperatures in Georgia in 2021 were well above average for much of the year, with December 2021 posting a near-record high, according to NOAA data. But a cold snap is expected to hit the northern part of the state, including Atlanta, this weekend.
