We are a group of Hongkongers residing in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (DC/MD/VA) who have gathered since the Anti-Extradition Protests in Hong Kong in June 2019.

Xi Jinping Unwelcome! Join Us September 24

From the political prisoners locked up in prisons and camps to communities oppressed across the region, our people are paying the price for fighting the Chinese Communist Party’s dictatorship. However, we refuse to be silenced. Join us on Thursday, September 24, at Franklin Park in Washington, D.C., to tell Xi Jinping: your repression against our communities is not acceptable!

We will open with a short rally, march to the White House, and close with a candlelight vigil for those who cannot gather, speak, or protest at home.

Wear black. Bring your friends, flags, signs, and your loudest voice!

反抗中共暴政抗議習近平訪美！9月24日，團結抵抗

由被關押在監獄以及集中營裏的政治犯，到各個受壓迫的社群，我們的民族為對抗中共獨裁政權付出沉重了代價。但我們堅拒被噤聲！

9月24日我們將在富蘭克林公園舉行簡短集會、然後大隊將遊行至白宮、最後以燭光晚會作結，悼念每一個為抵抗中共暴政犧牲的珍貴生命。

【🕯️同悲不捨大華府地區大埔火災悼念晚會】

感謝所有冒住寒風出席悼念晚會嘅大家，喺海外嘅我哋與香港人同悲同悼。祈願逝者安息、生者平安嘅同時，我哋喺華府呼應香港人嘅四大訴求：

一、持續支援受災居民，確保妥善安置
二、成立獨立調查委員會，全面徹查潛在利益輸送
三、重新審視工程監管制度，拒絕祭旗了事
四、全力追究監管疏忽，問責政府官員

我哋會謹記呢一刻嘅悲傷、憤怒、無力，將佢哋轉化為追尋真相嘅勇氣與堅持。

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold to attend the memorial evening. From abroad, we share in the grief and mourning of the people of Hong Kong.

While praying for the repose of the deceased and the safety of the living, we in Washington, D.C. echo the four major demands of the Hong Kong people:

1. Continue supporting affected residents and ensure proper relocation
2. Establish an independent commission of inquiry to thoroughly investigate potential collusion and profiteering
3. Re-examine the construction oversight system; refuse scapegoating
4. Thoroughly pursue regulatory negligence and hold government officials accountable

We will remember the sadness, anger, and helplessness of this moment, transforming them into courage and persistence in the pursuit of truth.

May all lives perished rest in peace🕊️

【大華府地區大埔火災悼念晚會】
[DMV Tai Po Fire Memorial Vigil]

DC4HK將於華盛頓舉辦悼念晚會，追悼大埔宏福苑火災嘅所有罹難者、祈願所有受影響嘅居民平安、並要求追究所有涉事官商對是次人禍嘅責任。

DC4HK will host a memorial vigil to commemorate the lives lost in the tragic Tai Po Wang F*k Court fires, to pray for the safety and well-being of all others affected, and seek accountability.
