Last month (June 25–July 1), HACR was proud to be represented at the 2026 Aspen Ideas Festival by President & CEO Cid Wilson and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Dr. Lisette M. Garcia.

Hosted by the Aspen Institute, the Festival convenes global voices to explore topics including leadership, business, artificial intelligence, geopolitics, innovation, and the economy.

Last week, the HACR team had the pleasure of visiting The Alliance 98 (TA98) in Little Village, Chicago, and learning about the organization's incredible work to invest in young people through mentorship, workforce development, education, and leadership opportunities.

This visit was especially meaningful because TA98 served as the nonprofit partner for the 2025 HACR Young High-potential Corporate Achievers™️ (YHCA) cohort. As part of the YHCA curriculum, each cohort engages in a community service initiative with a local nonprofit in the city where the program is hosted, creating opportunities for participants to make a meaningful impact while strengthening connections with the local community.

A special thank you to David Rojas Jr., Founder & Chief Executive Officer; Amy Roman, Community Programs Manager; and Jackie Covarrubias, Executive Director, for welcoming us, sharing your vision, and giving us a firsthand look at the meaningful impact TA98 is making in the community.

Beyond connecting with the leadership team, we also had the opportunity to spend time with the students who are at the heart of TA98's mission. Hearing their stories, aspirations, and ambitions was a powerful reminder of why investing in the next generation of leaders matters.

Thank you to the entire TA98 team for your warm hospitality and for the important work you do every day. We left inspired by your commitment to creating opportunities that empower young adults to lead, grow, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
