Today, we welcomed Jeenee Morrison with the Fayette County Su***de Prevention Coalition, also known as Community of Hope, as our program speaker.

Jeenee shared about the work of Community of Hope and details about their upcoming event, A Light in the Dark Glow Walk, happening September 12th at Miami Trace Athletic Field. Register for the Glow Walk at bit.ly/glowfayco26

She also highlighted the Fayette County LOSS Team, a group that provides support and compassion to individuals and families grieving the loss of a loved one to su***de. Volunteers are needed, and anyone interested in getting involved can contact Jeenee at [email protected].

Last week, we welcomed Michael Weinstein and Matt Hood with Patriot Engineering and Environmental, LLC!

Patriot works in environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, and construction materials testing, but their impact goes well beyond the services they provide.

We learned about their Brownfield & Demolition Program, which helps counties across Ohio pursue state funding to revitalize properties and strengthen communities. When Patriot partners with a county, they don’t just show up with a plan. They get to know the community, make connections, and get a feel for what makes each county unique.

From the early stages of a project through completion, Patriot helps guide their clients every step of the way.

Today, we welcomed Chiquita Nash, Program Director at Second Chance Center of Hope, as our program speaker.

Second Chance Center of Hope assists the homeless, low income families, and victims of domestic violence. Through services including meals, clothing, laundry facilities, toiletries, free tax preparation, and connections to community resources, providing hope and support to those who need it most.

In 2025, Second Chance served more than 40,000 meals to those in need. Their work is made possible through the generosity of donors, local churches, the United Way of Fayette County, Inc., and grant funding.
