Gene’s love for agriculture was truly unmatched. There wasn’t a day you wouldn’t find him in the milk barn, caring for the pigs, or riding on a tractor. Gene’s legacy lives on through this foundation by allowing the next generation access to a monetary award to further their agricultural endeavors. ❤️

🐇 The Curtis Uzelac Memorial Meat Pen of Rabbits
Donated by the Uzelac and Koontz families

Curtis was truly “Mr. 4-H.” He was a dedicated volunteer who spent countless hours supporting the program and investing in its youth, including 38 years of volunteering for 4-H. Our Market Sale hasn’t been the same without Curtis in the Photo Booth sporting his “Stop Pig” board. ❤️

🦃 The Dorothy Lowe Memorial Turkey
Donated by the Lowe family

Sweet Dorothy passed away this spring following complications from Type 1 diabetes. She was full of love, full of life, and had an incredible passion for her horses and livestock. Dorothy’s legacy will live on through the creation of the scholarship program. ❤️

Please help us honor Gene, Curtis, and Dorothy while continuing their legacies through these meaningful scholarship funds.

🦃 This morning was all about the turkeys! 🏆

A big round of applause to all of this year’s turkey exhibitors for raising an outstanding group of birds!

There will be 29 market turkeys selling this Thursday, and they’ll have the honor of kicking off the Washington County Youth Livestock Market Sale at 5:30 PM.

Unlike the other market species, turkeys are not sold live. Each bird is professionally processed before the sale, so you’ll take home a freezer- or oven-ready turkey that evening. If you’re planning to purchase one, be sure to bring a cooler or insulated bag for the ride home.

3. Open the email from Showman in your inbox and click "Access Your Account" . (This includes a custom link to your account so you do not need to create a password.)
4. From your account homepage, click the Add-Ons tab to select recipients and then enter donation amounts.

*If you have multiple bidder numbers connected to your email address, you will be able to switch between them at the bottom of your account homepage.
*If you prefer to pay for your add-ons in-person at the sale, enter your add-ons online. They will be saved and payable at the sale tent.
